The historic stone facade of Poste du Louvre in Paris, where Helene Quan Jewellery launches its designs at the Flying Solo flagship store
Since Helene’s inception, the brand has embraced a deliberate and unhurried approach to marketing, seeking to unveil their designs and ethos through intimate channels. With founder, Coco Quan, transitioning from the realm of finance to jewellery design, she envisioned a return to fundamental principles – a rediscovery of her dream, and a reevaluation of traditional marketing strategies. Departing from the fast-paced tactics of the financial sector, Coco championed a shift towards sustainable production and marketing, driven by a quest to introduce fine design to the market in a less wasteful, more authentic way. This approach has allowed Helene to reach new heights on the world stage.
With growing interest from Europe and the United States, Helene has accepted invitations to showcase its designs in prestigious locations such as Paris and New York through its collaboration with Flying Solo, a luxury marketplace that features independent designers. Amongst other locations, Helene will be presenting its sustainable fine jewellery at Flying Solo’s flagship store in Paris which is situated in La Poste du Louvre, just a stone’s throw away from the iconic Louvre Museum. The monumental post office that has long been a landmark in the district has been revamped into a luxury retail venue that blends heritage with contemporary design. Here, framed by the restored stone facade and majestic floor-to-ceiling windows, Helene will be in the company of over 100 brands from around the world, sharing its unique approach to fine design.
“You can’t escape the past in Paris, and yet what’s so wonderful about it is that the past and present intermingle so intangibly that it doesn’t seem to burden.”
Allen Ginsberg
Located on Rue du Louvre, La Poste du Louvre stands as a testament to Paris's rich history and architectural grandeur. From the delicate curves of Art Nouveau capturing the fluidity and organic forms found in nature to Parisian nights, illuminated by the soft glow of street lamps along the Seine, Paris has always been a source of inspiration for Helene.
The city’s essence is woven into the brand's fabric, reflecting Paris's timeless elegance and spirit. French artists have long captured fleeting moments in nature, playing with light and colour to evoke emotion, mirroring Helene’s approach to highlighting the ephemeral beauty of the natural world in its jewellery. The literary heritage of Paris, too, finds echoes in Helene’s collections where each piece of jewellery tells a story — a moment captured, a memory preserved.
By choosing La Poste du Louvre as the location for its European debut, Helene aligns itself with the city’s legacy of artistic and cultural heritage. This launch is a milestone that celebrates not only the international expansion of the brand but also its profound bond with the creative soul of Paris; a bond that will undoubtedly continue to inspire Helene’s journey forward.
As Helene continues to grow and thrive, it remains committed to its core values of sustainability, craftsmanship and meaningful engagement, ensuring that each stride the brand takes is purposeful and resonates with its vision for a more conscious and connected world. Because sometimes all it takes is a dream, a heart and authenticity.
